Janet Wakefield is the Chief Exploration Officer who is responsible for bringing The Journey to reality. She is a tireless advocate for youth workers and young people. She is the former Executive Director of Community Partnerships with Youth.
Tom Plake is the Chief Experience Officer who ensures The Journey programs are an “experience of a lifetime.” Tom is a frequent keynote speaker and he advises leaders through his private coaching and consulting practice, The Creative Edge.
Melinda Bowman is the Chief Organization Officer who makes it all run smoothly. She is also the Director of The Journey Fellowship For Students. Contact her first. She has her masters (Leadership Dev) and undergraduate (Elem. Ed.) degrees from Ball State University and experience in AmeriCorp, as a teacher and as a Campus Minister.
Chrystal Struben is the President/CEO of AYS, Inc., home of The Journey. She lends her experience as a long-time non-profit executive to provide guidance in the overall direction of The Journey program. As a parent of an AYS participant, she is passionate about family and children's issues.
